Kristen wrote, “I had a really crappy day at work, as did a few of my co-workers.  Right after my crappy day I had to drop my mum off to leave from her visit, and then after that I had to drop my sister off because she is going home too. As I walked home from dropping my sister off, I was feeling pretty defeated after my day and pretty much on the verge of tears. Then your tweet from today crossed my mind- you said something about going back and reading the operation beautiful archives to cheer you up. So, right then I decided that to cheer myself up, I’d spread a little love. I’ve made my notes up and the plan is to go into work a little early and put some notes up for my co-workers who need a smile. As I hatched my plan in my head, I started to feel better already!”

Joyce, who’s 12, wrote, “Today, I was on Mystery Google. It’s a website that let’s you type something in and then you get what the person before you typed in. I decided to try and make someone’s day by typing in an Operation Beautiful note. I hope whoever gets it feels a little bit more beautiful.”

Ashley, who is 13, wrote, “I started off with a post it note in my school’s girls bathroom, and a girl saw it and she had a smile on her face all day! It made me feel so good inside! I wrote more and more and now there are girls all over my school with big smiles.  Some things I wrote were:  “you’re fantastic! don’t put yourself down!,” “you’re amazing! your smile is lovely!,”  “I adore your eyes! you’re so awesome!,” and “Guess what? You’re beautiful, and I’m not lying.”

Ashleigh wrote, “Unlike many females I have grown up with a very good body image. I may not be perfect but I see myself for what I am beautiful and unique. So it alarms me just how many amazing, smart, gorgeous women fat talk themselves into thinking they’re ugly. I think what you’re doing is amazing and I’d love to help. I now keep a block of post-it notes with me and post them where ever I can.  This is the first of many notes my sister Tayla and I posted all over Brisbane today. They’re in books, on store windows, on walls and of course on bathroom mirrors!”
