Happy Veterans’  Day!  Our servicemen and servicewoman are BEAUTIFUL!

Katie wrote, “I was recently at Boston Pizza, for a goodbye party for my friend, who is an exchange student from France. Me and my twin went into the bathrooms, posted some notes, and took some pics! I hope that someone found them, and that it made their day!”

Michelle wrote, “I came across this site while reading GMH (www.givesmehope.com). I’ve always had extremely low self esteem and I hate the way my body looks. I still do, in fact, but Operation Beautiful has helped me to regain a little more self confidence and I’m working on improving the way I view myself.   I decided to post a few Operation Beautiful notes as well, because I know what it’s like to view yourself negatively. My school has the highest anorexia rates in Singapore, and it gets rather frustrating when everybody around you is so concerned about the way they look. I hope that these notes will help some people regain their self confidence.”

Tayla and Sarah posted notes like this on dorm doors at Hofstra University:

Vickytoria wrote, “I have self image issues myself and I’m working on fixing that; the Operation Beautiful movement is definitely helping a lot! The most I can do now is help others feel beautiful, and hopefully seeing others feel beautiful will inspire me to do the same. I left a pencil on my desk for the next student to find. On it I wrote "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! www.operationbeautiful.com" I hope the person who found it loved it as much as I loved leaving it.”

Faith wrote, “As I got older, I started to worry about what other people thought of me.  I would try to look nice wherever I went. Every time I looked in the mirror, I thought I looked ugly.   One of the ladies at my church told me that I looked gorgeous – I could never believe it.  A week or two after that one of my friends saw some pictures of me and told me that I should be a model. Even with everyone around me saying I was beautiful, I refused to believe it.  I try to remember that true beauty comes from the inside. I may never be Mrs. America, I may never get married or even have a boyfriend, but if people only like me for how I look, they won’t see the real me. If someone only loved me for my beauty, that wouldn’t be real love at all.  Real love is when someone loves you for who you are. My mom helped me learn that, and that’s my story.”

Chris said, “Tonight, I tried on a pair of my favorite pants and they wouldn’t fit. A slew of horrible thoughts reemerged in my thoughts, then I sign on IM and my good friend Isy sent me this message "You are beautiful" with a link to the site after it. I can’t imagine a better time it could have come!!”

Heather left herself this Operation Beautiful note to help her achieve her workout goals:

And then she left this note at the trail after she completed her run!

Posted my first operation beautiful note at a Wal-Mart today! It was on a magazine about a no-carb diet, it felt great to write that simple note, I hope it helped someone feel better. :)

I found out about this because of a sweet note written on a one dollar bill!! I posted my first OB note today on my sister’s computer monitor!!! It felt so good, especially knowing that she has some issues with her weight!! I hope she is just as happy as I was when I wrote it!
