Holly wrote, “People I go to school with don’t respect themselves or others. I discovered the club Operation Beautiful a few weeks into school. I am so glad I joined. I have always been struggling with poor self image and I wanted to make sure people didn’t fall into that trap because everyone deserves to be beautiful. I am a sophomore in high school and i am doing indoor track.  At one of our meets, I was making Operation Beautiful stickys for the club when I thought ‘so many people here compete and not everyone can be winners, so why not make everyone FEEL like winners.’  Here are my notes!”

That night we were eating dinner and my aunt pulls out the notes, and said, "Look at what some sweet girl left in our cabin.” I ask if she knew who they were from and she just shook her head in astonishment. I couldn’t help but smile.”

Janelle wrote, “Word had gone around that a mysterious someone was leaving post-it notes around school with encouraging writing and people were talking about how helpful they were and they were talking about in on Facebook and everything! So today, I wrote God loves you and created you to be the beautiful person that you are (I go to a Christian High School) and someone wrote on one of my post-its "God doesn’t exist, this is stupid." I was upset up until I walked into the girl’s bathroom and someone had taped up a response to the comment, they gave a few Bible verses that explained how God DID exist and then said how this was a great idea and whoever was spreading the post-its around should keep on doing it! Even the people I’m helping seem to help me as well!! At first I didn’t think it would affect a lot of people, but now I’ve seen at least 60-70 kids who have been impacted by a little helpful note.”

Caillean wrote, “My high school on Nantucket is participating in a program called Rachel’s Challenge, which is based on the idea that a little kindness goes a long way. At our first meeting, which was a sort of training for the most committed members, we were asked to brainstorm ideas for projects to promote kindness. Immediately, I thought of Operation Beautiful! I proposed a wall where high school students could leave kind messages, closely modeled after OB. The leaders thought it was a great idea, and, to make a long story short, we now have a Kindness Wall in the front hall of Nantucket High School! I have seen the positive effects of Rachel’s Challenge on NHS, and I am glad, excited and honored to be a part of making NHS more kind! You all are beautiful!”
