A Message From Caitlin: If you have participated in Operation Beautiful and it has had a profound impact on your outlook, I would love to hear from you. Operation Beautiful is beginning to spread farther than I could’ve ever imagined, and I need to speak to a few women with special experiences. If you have a great Operation Beautiful story to tell, please e-mail me at seebriderun@gmail.com! Thank you in advance!
In case you were wondering, Caitlin (the editor of Operation Beautiful) posts notes every other day! She just put of these notes:
Erica wrote, "One of the many notes I left around Chinook Mall in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I got really inspired last night when I stumbled upon Operation Beautiful. I have many more notes written up and ready to go, I’m sure you’ll be hearing from me again!"
Kristen wrote in to say, "I don’t have any pictures, but I’ve still been posting notes for the last few days. The most recent one was in the locker room at work that simply said "you’re beautiful" and I put the web address on it. I guess that means that someone here at work could now figure out who it is that is posting the notes…maybe I’ll be "outed", maybe not. We’ll have to see!"
Kerry wrote, "I think I might be someone on the receiving end of someone’s anonymous public note. I recently took a four hour drive from Rochester NY to Cleveland OH. There is a rest stop in the highway halfway between the two cities. I stopped there on the way down and back. It was on my way home, when I was feeling not so good about myself, that I went into one of the bathroom stalls, closed the door and found the message "You Are Beautiful". It was just what I needed at that moment. I had my camera in my purse and snapped a photo. It is attached to the email. I posted my tale on my blog, and one of my readers linked me to your site!"
Anonymous wrote, "I was inspired to put a little sticky note on the downstairs hall mirror in the building where I work. I am a student working at a private university, so I hope somebody will see it (somebody taking summer classes perhaps)."
Bobbi left this note in a gym locker room:
A poster put up a note that read "Hey Pretty Lady
" on the inside of the door in the changing room at a doctor’s office. She also posted this note in a Seventeen magazine:
Marie posted this note in a bathroom in Miami:
Rachel sent out an electronic Operation Beautiful note by emailing friends this note:
Tamara wrote, "LOVE this whole idea. This one was left on a light-rail train in Utah."
If you want to participate in Operation Beautiful, post a note, take a picture, and e-mail it to Caitlin at seebriderun@gmail.com!

Yesterday I came across a website called.. http://www.uglypeople.se/, I was so mad! That a website like that could actually exist!!! It is not enough that we are constantly bombarded with this distorted idea of what beauty should be like, but a group of people though it would be funny to make a website that allows others to rate on people looks, and do it in a degrading way
I was so mad! Not only with the people that created it but also with the people that go to that website and actually vote!
I send this long letter telling them how immoral and wrong it was Which I am sure they will either ignore or laugh at, but It made me feel a little better…
I then went to Google to sign this petition so that they can take the website down!
It’s already to damn hard living up to the beauty standards set by society in today world And on top of that having a website that rates how ugly a person is……UGH!
Today as I was checking facebook I saw this girl that posted the link to your website
A BIG smile came to my face
THIS is exactly what we should be doing We should be reminded of how beautiful we are!!!!!……….Not rating others on how ugly they are!!!
You have inspired me!
I will start posting them in my hometown, and hopefully it will spread all over Canada!!!!
Maria.
