Thursday Notes – October 8, 2009

Have you started to brainstorm your entry for the Operation Beautiful book yet? If you’d like to enter your note and story to be featured in the book, check out this post – you could also win some amazing swag!  Remember that I’m looking for creative notes in unique places!    You have until October 19 to enter!

Sam wrote, “I’m 14 years old, and I learned about your sight on GirlsLife.com today and I think it is amazing! I posted my first note today at Wal-Mart on a mirror in a women bathroom. It said " Smile you are beautiful " and it had the website.  About an hour and a half I came back and it was gone! I don’t know if someone took it with them or if it was thrown away but either was someone saw it and I hope it made a difference.”

Cristal, who is 13 years old, posted this note:

Berni wrote, “Here is a pic of a note posted while I travel from California to Vermont. This is in the ladies room at LAX!!”

Shelby made these pretty notes:

Sophie and Iiah wrote, “We are only 13, but we have a friend suffering from an eating disorder. She is conscious about her weight and always worrying about the way she looks, so we decided to make an Operation Beautiful note for her. We stuck it on a lamppost near my house so whenever she walks past and reads it she will smile!  Hopefully everybody else who sees it will like it, too!”

Melissa posted this note on the stall door of a public restroom:

Ali wrote, “I bought my friend Belle a new organizer for her birthday (she is so into that kind of thing, as am I). There were post-its in the organizer so you know I could no resist writing her an Operation Beautiful note inside.  I got a text later that day from her that read, " Just visited operation beautiful and I Love It! Such an inspiration…totally changing the way I view myself and I am spreading the word."

Brittany wrote, “We NEED messages like this. After getting inspired at the thought of inspiring, I spent some time writing little notes like this…”

Here’s a note that was FOUND!  Did you post it?   Shannon said, “I found this in a changing room at Goodwill.”
