Mary Jo wrote, “I work at the Middle School in our town and I had left my room for lunch. When I returned, there was a note on my desk which said “You are Beautiful; believe it” with the Operation Beautiful web site address at the bottom. I had no idea what is was all about so I checked it out. I was glad to see this was a site to help girls and ladies alike inspire each other with one of the hardest issues we have now a days: knowing that each one of us is BEAUTIFUL!!!! What a simple thing to do to brighten someone’s day. I am going to start leaving notes for BEAUTIFUL girls and ladies at school and in our community who need a pick me up. This is a simple way for us to show support to others!!”

Rayne wrote, “I was so touched by all the love and the truth that goes in to this. Many of the notes and stories have made me cry, and I’m not ashamed to admit that, because I think this must be a common effect amongst us emotional girls! I had a lot of fun making my own post-its, and the first one I stuck on the back of a toilet door made me feel SO good – I walked away and actually walked taller, and felt more beautiful and feminine than I have in many years. It’s 6 am and I’ve been up all night creating these! I decorated an envelope, and inside a lovely card, which has a photo of a beach on the front. I’m going to leave it on a bench for someone to discover and open.”
Rachel wrote, “I started making my first notes yesterday and put them all around my local mall. I also placed them around the movie theatre and on the faculty’s cleaning carts! It makes me feel all yummy inside!”
Mary wrote, “I remember when Operation Beautiful started, and I thought it was an awesome idea. Today, while browsing through my Facebook newsfeed, I saw a friend from high school had posted something about operationbeautiful.com and a note she had posted at her college. My jaw dropped to the floor! I thought it was really neat that I was already following the site when it started, and it’s finally made it’s way out to little ol’ Iowa!”
