Lyssa wrote, “I listen to girls complain every day about how they are either "fat" or "not pretty" and it makes me mad. Everyone is beautiful in God’s eyes and in mine too. I want to help spread the word that everyone is beautiful and raise some self-esteems.”

Hedda wrote, “I want to participate in Operation Beautiful. It is such a wonderful project, and has already helped me a lot. I have struggled with anorexia for the last three years, but for the first time I now get proper help. I know it will be a long and hard fight to get better, but on difficult days I visit the Operation Beautiful blog and try to convince myself that I am beautiful and deserve to get well. I no longer think that being thin is the same as being beautiful, being beautiful has to do with your personality.”
Ally wrote, “You see, my mom has been going through a hard time lately. She has to raise me, my little brother, who’s 2, plus take care of the house, both the dog and cat, and a full time job. All that, with no help from my step-dad. And one of her biggest desires right now is to lose weight. So, yesterday, I walked into her bathroom, wrote down, "You’re beautiful" on a piece of paper, taped it to her mirror, and left. Later that night, after everyone went to bed, she came into my room, sat down on my bed, and just started bawling. Ever since then, her and i have been on really good terms, and though she’s still trying to lose weight, she’s a lot happier, and always seems to have a smile on her face.”
April wrote, “I stopped at a gas station on the way to Christmas Eve dinner at my aunt’s. When I first saw the note, the cynic in me looked around for a camera or peephole. But then I smiled. I was stressed about spending time with some crazy family, and this note made me feel confident and ready to handle anything. Thankfully, I had my camera in my bag when I was in the washroom. Otherwise, I would have missed this great capture!”
Briya wrote, “Whenever I went to the beach or tried on new clothes, I always thought of what I looked like and if I looked too big for the outfit. Sometimes, I would be embarrassed to wear a simple bathing suit because of it. When I found Operation Beautiful, it made me feel so much better about myself and the way I looked. I think Operation Beautiful is a great idea for girls and women of ALL ages!”
