Catherine wrote, “I posted my first 3 notes in the bathrooms at the local high school where I substitute frequently. I got such a thrill from posting them! There are sure to be more postings in my future. It is my hope that when I find my teaching position that I can start a program for girls that can make them see that they are beautiful, no matter what size, shape, or color they are. Each one of them is meaningful and important.”

Kira wrote, “I love Operation Beautiful! I think it’s amazing spreading the word. I’ve always tried to tell people how special they are and how much they can offer society. Personally, I still have my days of self doubt, but there is nothing that makes me feel better than making someone else smile or feel good about themselves. A few months ago we suffered a tragedy when a teenage boy that many of us knew committed suicide. It was really rough on everyone. I wanted to do my part in making everyone cheer up a little bit so I wrote around 30 notes and posted them all over my school. Many in the girls’ bathrooms or just all over the place with nothing on them. Later that day I logged onto Facebook to see a picture posted by a girl from my school of one of the notes that I posted with a smile and a heart captioned onto it. It made me feel so amazing knowing that I had touched her life.”

Kate wrote, “I work for a vibrant theatre company in Canada, and I’m lucky to be surrounded by smart, good-looking and fun-loving colleagues. One day during a lunch break chat in the kitchen, a group of four women started talking about how horrible they felt they looked, based off our terribly unflattering office bathroom mirror. The group included a beautiful, glowing, pregnant woman. I felt like the space needed some positivity, so when no one was looking I stuck up my first ever operation beautiful note, and fled back to my desk. I wasn’t sure how it would be received, but look what happened over the next few days… A male colleague recently called it our "nice" wall.”
