Sara wrote, “Anyway, I walked by an installation art exhibit today inviting passerby to write on walls with chalk with positive messages. Well, you can imagine what happened next! It was my first note, and I decided to try out a different message. I’m in finals week at school, so I used a mantra I’ve been repeating myself.”
Eliza wrote, “I took purple post-its and I scribbled notes and stuck them under the desks at my Middle School. They were things like,"You are so pretty (or handsome) today! You’re perfect the way you are. OperationBeautiful.com". I even found an orange note myself! I was so happy.”
Kasandra wrote, “A friend handed me a piece of paper at school of said, “You’re gorgeous! Never let anyone tell you otherwise… Smile! Operation Beautiful!” It made my day. I logged on and found what this was all about.I love what you guys are doing it am I am now going to start doing this at school, church , public places, etc.”
Rai wrote, “I found this site and knew that I had to join the movement. I went to a coffee shop with some friends and I stuck this note in the bathroom.”
Melissa wrote, “Every time I go to Target, I hate walking down the aisle to get my Odwalla Bars and have to see diet products like this.”
Mariah wrote, “I went to Knotts berry farm on Veterans day and posted these notes in the bathrooms. I really hope they encourage some of the many women who were there that day"!”
Jenn wrote, “Operation Beautiful is so great! I’ve been posting notes for awhile, but keep forgetting to take pictures or send them in even if I have taken them. I put a whole bunch of notes up on one mirror with another post it saying "Take one and pass it on!" yesterday. When I walked by the bathroom today, I noticed that someone had moved 2 of them to right outside the girls’ bathroom. I had been planning on doing the same thing today, so I did. Another girl came in, saw the notes, and desperately grabbed a pen and paper to write down the website. It was so cool, because I almost hadn’t put them up that day, but if it made that one girl’s day it was totally worth it. “
If you love Operation Beautiful and want to participate, post a note, take a picture, and e-mail it to Caitlin at seebriderun@gmail.com. Spread the love!
