I LOVE this! The music is so fitting too. For some reason watching all the photos together in video form is so much more powerful. Are you going to make these videos a regular thing Caitlin?
We’ve always known you were beautiful and had a sweet, creative spirit. I remember when you were four, out in the pool, putting your finger in the air, and shouting, “I have an idea!” I think this is your best idea yet! Love you, Aunt Beth
Great effort. I am the dietitian for East Carolina University and I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and this type of campaign is yet another step in the right direction for accepting our bodies just the way we are. Keep up the good work!! We plan on doing a similar campaign on campus this year.
I loved this video, it struck a tender chord in me. Weight loss is often turned into such an overwhelming and undermining task. This is a wonderful way to inspire and encourage. Thank you.
I had sinus surgery this week and the nice warm salt water generated by watching your little video did me good inside and out. What a remarkable discovery you have made, Caitlin – thank you for sharing it with all of us!
This video had me crying- I was never told I was beautiful when I was growing up. I was always told that I wasn’t any prettier than anyone else or any more special. Even as an adult it’s a battle believing I am ever good enough- even now I have to tell myself that I am beautiful- I guess sometimes people forget that we need to hear that from them..this is such an awesome and loving thing to do Caitlin- God Bless You =)
This was so wonderful! I’ve always been about the size of a twig and have never been able to stop comparing my body to those of my friends and family. But I know that everyone has these struggles, and they’re all so redundant because we are all so beautiful! Thank you so much for this much needed wake-up call. I’ve got post-it notes in my purse already, can’t wait to start putting them up!
This is amazing- I have done this before, posted notes on bulletin boards and in the locker room at my gym, and just seeing this now gave me so much hope for the world in knowing that there are other people out there dedicated to the cause! Thank you so much for this.
I just started growing my hair back after chemo for breast cancer. I don’t feel pretty, the notes everyone writes made me feel great. I’m going to start leaving my own notes. It’ll help me and others! I love it, Cailtlin you must be a wonderful person to have started this, great job!
this is AMAZING! everone always told me i am skinny but i never belived them. because of your video, my point of view has changed. congrats, you changed one teenagers life. i cant wait to start posting notes!
this made me cry! so amazing! girls today are just so concerned about how they look and what people will think of them but little do they know that doesnt matter compared to how they act and what is inside! it is totally ok to not be perfect looking! i am totally going to do this and help women to realize how wonderful they really are! thanks so much for the terrific idea!
This is so awesome! I know me as a teenager feels very insecure in my body. Thankyou so much for what you are doing. You have a heart made of gold. I’ll start post-it writing ASAP! I saw an article on girlslife.com about your site and I just think it is wonderful. Thanks so much!
The other day i was with my friend, and we were playing on the WiiFit. when we were making our characters, the wii weighed us and told us our BMIs. when she saw that her BMI was in the 17th percentile (in healthy weight) she freaked. she said that she had “never been over the 16th percentile!” and yet when you look at her you see a thin girl. she seemed so upset and i know she is probably going to eat less this week just to be back to how she was. shes only 14…still growing. just like me. earlier today i got a comment about how beautiful i was on GL. it made me smile, and now im going to post notes wherever i go. thank you.
Thanks so much for helping me realize the importance of seeing the real beauty in the women around me and in my life. You’ve inspired me to tell the women in my life how beautiful they are and to do it more often. You’ve helped me reach the tipping point in how I see women…beautifully! So thank you so much for that…you are so beautiful!
Awesome! When we learn to love everyone for who they are, life is incredible. I love what my friend tells everyone at the close of his radio show daily….”I love you and there is nothing you can do about it!”
This is absolutely amazing and inspiring! Keep up the great work. Women need to reach out to one another and lift one another up in this way. Fantastic!
I just found Operation Beautiful through a Spark People’s email posting. I couldn’t wait to check it out and am about to post it on my facebook page and forward the video to friends and family!

I am truly inspired, and in such awe of the wonderful movement you have inspired. I”m ready to go out and buy a whole bunch of Post-It Notes, and stick them EVERYWHERE I go!
I watched this video and I am now going to carry a pack of post-it’s with me where ever I go so I can randomly do this. I’m not joking. This is the best idea I’ve heard of in a long time. I have many friends that are just obsessed with how they look now matter how many times you call them beautiful. This is just awe-inspiring. Thank you all.
I found a note today, stuck on the window on my train. I’m going to start posting notes today.
I’ve already posted four in the girls bathrooms here at school.
Thank you! it’s about time we all realized we are beautiful.

Lovely! I’ll start my end of the work and throw a stack of stickies in my purse so I can do it on the fly. I’ll be the self-esteem sticky note bandit.

It’s great to see that beauty in how you look is overrated. Beauty is about loving yourself as you are. Your message says it all.
I had sinus surgery this week and the nice warm salt water generated by watching your little video did me good inside and out. What a remarkable discovery you have made, Caitlin – thank you for sharing it with all of us!
This was so inspiring. The music is also a great fit for the video, I just purchased it on Itunes.
