Send your own Operation Beautiful Note to Caitlin at OperationBeautiful@gmail.com, and it will be posted on the site. If you have a blog, be sure to include a link!  It takes about three weeks for a photograph to show up on the site, so be patient! :)

Write a motivating note on a post it and put it up in a public place– such as on a bathroom mirror, in the gym locker room, or even on a random car’s windshield.  If you want, you can write the web address www.OperationBeautiful.com on the bottom so other women can find the site!

Although i see the heart in this, I must say that i disagree with it a little bit. although every person is beautiful in their own way and you are trying to reach people who “fat talk” what about those who truely do need to lose weight? Americans are obese. People dont care about themselves enough. and this is sort of just encouraging people who are over weight to just except that. and i think its wrong. I believe that Americans need to be told that fit is the way to be. not skinny, slim, slender. Fit. what we need is more athletic looking models. I’m just putting it out there that someone who is overweight who reads one of these may look at themself and say, hey! im good the way i am. I dont need to change. when for the best of thier health, they should. Think about it.

i think its possible to love yourself and accept yourself as a person and still make healthy changes. also, speaking from experience, its really hard to change when you dont believe in yourself. for the people that are obese, getting skinny will not make them happy, but dealing with the emotional issues that surround their weight and getting healthy will.

Ann-

While I completely respect your opinion I think that it is vitally important for girls to except themselves. Because, until you see yourself as worth it and amazing and beautiful inside, you’ll never care about the outside because to you it won’t matter what you look like. I think this is an amazing idea and I know that some days, you just need a little reminder no matter if you wiegh 100 pounds or 500. We’re all human and we all hurt regardless of our waist size.

Hope you have an amazing day.

I love this! I put one that said: If you look up the definition of beautiful in the dictionary, it should have your picture.

This is an awesome company. Thanks Op Beautiful!

Healthy changes come easily when one finds beauty and love within and around oneself. Simply enjoy the Nature’s beauty around us to capture the beauty within – go on to say ‘I am beautiful’.

Happiness for me today is knowing that I have a beautiful friend, who has forwarded me the Operationbeautiful.

I’ve always struggled with self-esteem. As a kid, my father was verbally abusive and always told me that I was fat and ugly and worthless. Since I heard this from the time I was 5 up until I stopped seeing him at the age of 9, I have always struggled with my self image and issues of weight. I never really was truly happy with how I looked, until today. tomorrow I plan on writing notes in the washrooms on my campus, and hoping other girls my age will also finally realize that God created each of us beautifully. The site has changed my opinion of myself is ways that you can never imagine! thank you.

Hello!

I found the following note:
“Treat your nody nice! You Don’t want these beautiful! operationbeautiful.com” inside of my Cosmopolitan magazine this weekend. It was taped to an advertisement about how to lose weight.

Thank you! This is a great, great movement you’ve got started here and I will go around leaving these very inspirational notes everywhere I go now!

I went out today with family, just running here and there, do a little shopping.

I brought somewhere between 15-20 post-its with me. And, walking behind them some, stuck them here and their. A lot got posted on magazines.

Just thought you should know <3

This site is great! I plan to participate too! Though, I can’t help it…I need to address one post, it was someone claiming that they were concerned about overweight people thinking that it’s “ok” to be heavy if they see these messages… really… it is key to love yourself and see the beauty you possess, look at it as potential, or self worth… because people who don’t fit the ‘norm’ body styles are worthwhile, and beautiful too… and caring about yourself only leads to doing what is best to take care of yourself… don’t you think?

I started this project a few weeks ago at my high school. Iv talked to my friends about it and asked them if they have seen the notes. Each girl that has seen the note said it made them feel so good just knowing that they are beautiful no matter what anyone thinks. They have no idea who posted them, but everytime I hear someone talk about the notes and how it makes there day. I always smile =)

I actually used to do this in the bathrooms in high school and in the bathroom that I shared with my suite mates last year. I’m so glad that someone else had the idea too! I love it! I walked in to a bathroom on campus yesterday and saw a bunch of these notes on the mirrors (With the website at the bottom) and I started to cry because I was having such a rough day. It was a nice feeling to know that someone cared enough to do something like that. : )

My Assistant Principal and a couple of girls in my grade went into our library one morning and filled it with little slips of paper that said “You’re Beautiful.” They even hung a huge banner above some of our computers that says it, and it’s still up there! It was an awesome day, ’cause people started wearing the slips, and everyone was telling each other that they were beautiful all day. Huge props to Sarah, Nicole, and Mr. Been!

This is terrific! I wish I had stumbled it upon earlier. Like younger women, older women desperately need affirmation too. I can’t wait to start this wonderful practice at my workplace Monday. I’ll let you know how we old New England yankees respond. I have a feeling the reaction will be positive. Great stuff!

I go to a Catholic school and one day during lunch someone put a post-it on every girls desk and they have done this for four days and I think it is absolutely amazing. Mine said “A smile shows your true beauty! SMILE!” “Your Beauty is unsurpassable” “You are beautiful just the way you are! You deserve to believe it.” and “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Be the Beholder!!” Thank you for what you do because those notes made my day so much better!!!

today i was at school, and i wasnt very happy after some of the texts people i didnt know kept sending me.
then when i went into the restroom i wasnt paying attention, but when i looked up at the mirror, a yellow sticky not was there saying “SMILE! your beautiful!” and i started to smile with a little giggle.
that little note made my day. after thati kept the note with me and whenever i thought about the people who made me unhappy, or i thought of something that put me down, i opened my agenda and saw that note. :] i may not know who wrote it to me, but they are fantastic and made me smile when i thoguht i couldnt. i am completely going to pass this on!
