Saturday Notes – February 6, 2010

If you live near Dedham, Massachusetts, you should stop by the Lululemon at Legacy place!  Melyssa, the Key Leader of the store, wrote, “We decorated our main window Operation Beautiful-style and stuck post it notes with positive messages all over the store – every mirror, every dressing room, on mannequins, in the bathroom mirrors, in our team’s cubbies, you name it!   I have 4 stations set up around the store with a framed description of Operation Beautiful and with markers/post-it notes so that people can fill out notes to themselves. We are asking guests to stick their notes in the window themselves after they write them down!”

Andrea wrote, “I love the message that Operation Beautiful sends to women and men all over the world!  I’ve been posting Operation beautiful notes all over my school’s bathrooms, hoping to make a difference. This picture is of a small pocket mirror that my Mom gave me. I don’t know where she got it from, but it has the words  "SMILE, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" engraved on the bottom, and I thought of this website.  I wish I knew the company that made it, but it seems they’re on board the Operation Beautiful train as well!”

Pamela wrote, “Just wanted you to know that your message has reached Australia!  I work in a shopping centre, and on my usual toilet break, entered the public toilets and just happened to come across a note on the back of the toilet door. It said ‘God doesn’t make trash, he only makes beautiful people and you are one of them!’  It totally made my day!”

D wrote, “My friend and I were putting up note-cards I had left over from a project with the normal "You are beautiful" and such on them on every bathroom mirror in my school. I was on the second to last mirror and one girl, who I had seen checking her make-up in the bathroom before can running up to me, smiled, and said "You’re beautiful too!" and walked out. Thank you total stranger, thank you!

Anonymous wrote, “I’ve been struggling with an eating disorder for almost 3 years of my life or more, I don’t know… but lately, I’m much better, and it’s also because of Operation Beautiful.  I want to help other people to overcome it. So I’m posting positive thoughts that I found on this website on my profile. Isn’t too much, but is something!”

What a great post! I am so inspired. Next, I will put a post-it note on my husband’s mirror and another on my daughter’s. Can’t wait – great way to spread love and joy this Valentine’s!
