Judith wrote, “In the breakroom at work we have a chalkboard where people can write inspiring messages. Earlier this week someone asked us each to write something we like about ourselves, for days the board was blank, finally it began to fill up. As you can see we are a wonderfully diverse and beautiful group!”
Jeanni wrote, “I left this note in a store in Missouri after I found out about Operation Beautiful!”
Anonymous wrote, “So, yesterday, while walking around Battlefield Mall in Springfield, MO, my friend and I handed out/posted 16 notes. We gave 2 to cashiers, 1 to a book stocker, and 1 to a random lady who looked like she was having a bad day. We put some up in the bathrooms, and then put some up in the bathrooms at A&B Cycle, Panera Bread, Mudhouse Coffee, and in dieting books at Borders Express. I hope we made someone’s day!”
Denelle wrote, “ I have left several notes in public, but first, I had to remind myself!”
Sheri wrote, “I saw Operation Beautiful on the Today show and was literally on fire with ideas afterwards. I wanted to post notes right away! I went online and ordered the book. I got the box from Amazon yesterday and started reading immediately. I felt the same way–jazzed, excited, on fire! I texted a teen to start a top secret project in our area and school. I can’t wait! Every time I read a few pages, I get tears in my eyes. So many women, of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities and ages, feel so unsure of themselves and I can’t wait to attempt to make a difference!”
Tanner wrote, “I’m sure not many people my age, or even boys in general want to join the mission, but I do. Growing up my mom has always been watching her weight or coating herself with makeup or trying to disguise herself as someone she’s not. The thing about it is that she is beautiful just the way she is. Without the makeup. Without the hair dye. Without the scale. She doesn’t take the "you’re pretty" comments seriously… she is in somewhat of a denial regarding her beauty. When I saw Operation Beautiful on the Today Show I decided that this is what she needs. I want to help her feel beautiful. Feel herself.”

Caitlin wrote, “I posted this Operation Beautiful note on the window of a random car. Most people who park their cars here use it as a staging area to bike around the surrounding neighborhood. I could tell by the gear in the car that it was a woman’s car, and that she probably did cycling events or a triathlon. I actually had a terrible run and felt a little down on myself for struggling so much. I left this note for the stranger because I really wanted someone, somewhere to hear. To know that you are strong and capable can be so helpful when you’re struggling through a hard workout.. or just life. I hope she enjoyed the note!”
Did you post this note? Kathleen wrote, “I found this post-it at a booth in our local Highland Games. There’s something about these notes that really do make you feel special!”
