Andrea wrote, “I’ve been having a rough few weeks being down with my first exam grades. I started getting nervous that I’m not cut out for my major and everything was just starting to stress me out. As I left to go to the bathroom from organic chemistry
I saw this note on the bathroom mirror and it made me smile and brought tears to my eyes. I started believing in myself again.”
Kristin wrote, “I posted this note at the mailbox in the gated community where I live. I’m hoping someone will see it think ‘Hey, I AM beautiful!’”
Jerusha wrote, “I originally heard about Operation Beautiful through Superchick. Shortly after I heard about it I had to start posting and so I did. All over the place. Since I started posting I’ve started to notice a few that I didn’t post around campus and that makes me really excited. This changes peoples lives, it certainly changed mine. It allows me to do something for my fellow woman and that’s the type of opportunity I can’t pass up.”
Katie from the University of Chicago wrote, “I went into the ladies bathroom in my building today and saw two notes telling me or anyone else looking in the mirror that I’m beautiful. To be honest, I haven’t been feeling well and looking well the last couple days, but those little post-its with those few words put a smile on my face and a new outlook in my mind. Thanks to the lovely lady that is responsible!!!”
Olivia wrote, “I went to a restaurant, and then I told my family I was going to the toilets. I got my post-it notes out, stuck one on the mirror, and walked out feeling great! I sat back down at my table, and I saw a girl come out of the toilets with a big smile on her face and she went over to the people she was sitting with. I saw her explaining about a post-it note being stuck on the wall! I felt so happy, and I am so going to do this again! I also saw other people go in the toilets and the same thing happened again, they all had a smile on their face… Not only did it make others feel good, but it made me feel good too!”
Jasmine wrote, “I had to participate once I heard about Operation Beautiful; it is so inspiring and uplifting. I go to the College of New Rochelle, which is an all-women’s college in New York and I think it is the perfect environment to encourage self-esteem and self-assurance from within.”
LR posted this in a bathroom in her school building.
If you want to participate in Operation Beautiful, post a note, take a picture, and e-mail it to Caitlin at seebriderun@gmail.com. Spread the love!
