Kimberly simply said, “Bathroom at my work.  Made my day!”

Danielle wrote, “Wow. I found out about this through my school’s restroom.  I walked in one day and I was feeling real down… I have struggled with weight all my life.  I started to make myself throw up because I thought it would make me feel better about myself.  Well, that was what I was going to do that day and when I walked into the restroom and closed the door I saw a post it that read, “Smile, You are amazing! Love, Someone” and the Operation Beautiful website was written on the bottom.  Until this very day, I keep it in my wallet and constantly look at it.  I think its amazing that someone out there is making a difference.  I am glad to be apart of something that is positive for teenage girls today and even young or old women.  You don’t need to change yourself to feel beautiful.”

Hazel created this awesome video!

Crystal created a group for Operation Beautiful!  They send each other electronic notes like this one:

Stephanie wrote, “I first came across Operation Beautiful while on the Gives Me Hope website and knew right away that I wanted to participate so I ran out and posted some notes on the bathroom mirrors in my dormitory.  I’ve struggled with self-confidence for as long as I can remember; always unhappy with my body, the way I looked, wishing I had this or that talent or could be like so-and-so. I wanted to please people; to fit in and be accepted by everyone. I constantly wondered if I was "good enough". I’m 20 years old, halfway through my junior year of college and this is still a struggle but thanks to supportive family, friends and teachers and things like Operation Beautiful, I am reminded that I AM beautiful. I am a child of God, created specifically by him the way I am. I have been blessed with gifts unique to me that make special. I am strong and passionate, and with his help, capable of doing anything I put my mind to. Now when I think about losing weight or making any kinds of changes in my life, I don’t worry about what others will think or how they will view me. I remember that I have been given a healthy body to take care of and my own thoughts, opinions and talents to use to the best of my ability to God’s glory.”

Andrea wrote, “I’ve recently got into carving my own stamps – and I thought – stamps + operation beautiful would make great notes!  These make a great addition to my Operation Beautiful kit.”

Billie wrote, “I found your website through a friend’s Facebook profile and it really spoke to me, as I’ve suffered from depression and self esteem issues for quite some time now. My best friend has been having a hard couple of weeks, adjusting to University life and all, and she’s been pretty down lately. So I spent the night at her house, knowing she had classes for two hours the next day, and when she was at school, I hid sticky notes all over her house!”

Once again, thank you so much for helping my video get to 500 views and climbing!

Quite a few people have got back to me saying they’re going to or have sent notes out into the world – so I’m telling them all to send you the pictures! x
