Joy found this note. She said, “My friends I and were in CVS in the Valentine’s Day section. She looked in a stuffed bear and found this note. We didn’t know what to do with it but we went on the website and we thought Operation Beautiful was the coolest thing ever!”

Maddie wrote, “Lately, I’ve been struggling with depression and I’ve been feeling really bad about myself. I chatted one of my friends online and told her how I’d been feeling, and she didn’t say much except the usual things friends say to other friends when they’re upset. Then she got offline. I checked my email before I went to bed, and there was an unread message. I didn’t recognize the address, but the subject line was "Project L.O.V.E." I opened it, and it said "Hello! Just wanted to give you a simple reminder of how amazing you are. You are important. You are loved, and please don’t say you’re not, because it is simply not true. People care about you, more than you could ever believe. And lastly, you will get through this. We all will. Together." I smiled, and I smiled all through the night and the next day. I don’t know who sent it, but I’m pretty sure it was my friend. I want to thank her for what she did and to tell her she brightened up my life a little with that one simple email.”

Brae wrote, “For the past year and a half, I’ve struggled with horrible bulimia. I hadn’t purged in over a month, when my boyfriend broke up with me. I felt horrendous, so I ran to my school’s bathroom. I was about to purge when I saw what’s in the attached picture. It made me cry, but not in a bad way. Because of that note, I haven’t fallen to this monster called bulimia in four months. If I could, I would thank the person who wrote this a million times over.”
